Forever Young Valentine Card

I am just loving this Forever Young Cartridge. Here is how you make this adorable card.

Your finished card size will be 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Take a piece of white cardstock and make your card the size 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
The red mat size is 4 1/8" x 5 1/4" (I always size down 1/4" for all my mat sizes)
I ran the red mat through the cuttlebug using the Divine Swirls Embossing Plate
Cut out your little boy and girl using the Forever Young Cricut Cartridge on page 30 in black cardstock
You will use the shift key and it will say <Vlntns-s> on your cricut
Cut it out using size 3 inches
Cut out the Shadow in white cardstock and you will hit the shift key
Take some black ribbon and adhere it to the red mat. Secure ends behind the red mat.
Take another piece of ribbon and tie a knot.
I had this "Dream & Star" in my stash, it is made by
JoAnn's Craft Essentials
These little embellishments came in a pack of 4 and they are all 3-d with wire and little beads
That's about it.. adhere your red mat to your white card and you are all done.

Cricut
Forever Young Cartridge
Black, Red & White Cardstock
Black Ribbon

Adorable Forever Young Purse

So, I have this adorable cartridge Forever Young that I have played around with and today I wanted to use it again. This little purse literally took me no more then 20 minutes from start to finish. Here is how you make it...

You will need your Forever Young Cartridge
Set at "fit to page" and I also hit "real dial size" it calculates it to be 9 1/2"
The purse is on page 64 in your handbook
Hit the Purse button and cut
My blade is set at 5 and pressure is set at medium
My cardstock is from Die Cuts With A View the La Creme' Stack
This cardstock is flocked and very heavy...very very pretty.
I then cut out the liner in red.. so hit your Purse button and hit Shift
My next cut was the circle that goes in the center of the flower
That is the Layer button and I cut that out at 1 1/2"
When you fold the purse and adhere it together I suggest using either hot glue or your ATG Gun.
The last thing I did was add a button to my flap, tie a red ribbon around the handle and used a little piece of velcro to fasten it shut. That way you can easily open and close it without tearing the closure.

There are so many fun little purses in the Forever Young Cartridge.. get it out and use your wonderful imagination. I would love to hear your comments and also would love to see your finished projects.

Items Needed:

Dog "Hug" Card

This cute card is very simple to make. This is what you need to make it
Your finished card size is going to be 4 1/2" x 5 3/4"
Start with 4 1/2" x 10 1/2" cardstock
Pink pattern paper mat is 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" (I always measure in 1/4" from top to bottom and side to side)
Dog outline & shadow is cut out at 2 1/2" using the Paper Pups Cricut Cartridge
The word "Hug" is cut out at 2 1/2"
Chaulk around the inside of the dog, use gems for the collar and add ribbon

That's it! That is how simple this card is to make. You can use this basic design for any occasion or holiday.

Supplies needed:

Paper Pups Cricut Cartridge
Pattern Paper
Grosgrain Ribbon
3 Gems for Collar
Chaulk for Dog
Adhesive

Pinwheel Card

This next card I wanted to share is called a Pinwheel Card. I used the Wild Card Cricut Cartridge to cut this card out. I used the blackout feature because if you use the other it will cut out with circles on the front. This card was cut at size 6 1/2 real dial size.
The finished size ends up being around 4 x 5 1/2

Here is how you make this card:

Take your choice of colored cardstock or patterned paper, cut out at 6 1/2" on real dial size.
Cut out the Circle using the Liner key. Do NOT hit shift.
I used regular black card stock and cut out the pinwheel card then took my patterned paper and cut the card out again. I used the patterned paper as a mat. The main reason I did it this way was so the circles on the front lined up perfectly.
I then took another paper and cut it 2 x 4" and placed that on the bottom.
Take ribbon and cover the seams of your paper, tie a bow and adhere it with zots or other adhesive.
Cut Scalloped Circle using the Frame Button
Stamp 4 images on the pinwheel. I used these little stamps by Dots.
The images I used are.. a birdhouse, saying "Thinking of you", a country heart and another saying "From the heart".
I took some off white cardstock, same color as the pinwheel and cut it 5 1/4 x 3 3/4 and adhered it to the inside. Then I stamped a sentiment. The saying I happened to use is" "Life's Truest happiness is found in the friendships we make along the way".

Supplies:

Cricut
Cricut Wild Card Cartridge
The patterned paper I used is by KC & Company
Regular Green Cardstock for envelope
The Stamps..Dots & Fiskars Friends Forever Quotes
Green Grosgrain Ribbon
Zots
Green Brad
Glitter Scalloped Circle

Thank you so much for looking. Use your imagination and have fun. I would love to hear your comments and would love to see your finished card.
